The machine can be installed as stand alone or part of a full integrated production line. Using a double-headed roller, two different articles can be produced simultaneously. The plant mainly consists of: integrated clay feeding belt, dosing pug mill, clay slice device and feeding of slices to roller, mould feeding and discharging belts. The machine can be linked with a handle application station. Fettling and handle shaping can also be carried out on an automatic turntable with manipulation equipment. If the handles are cast separately the sticking of the handles takes place here.

The de-airing pug mill is integrated in the roller machine. The clay pug is loaded through the feeding belt into the de-airing pug mill in a horizontal position. The clay passes through a screen when entering the extruding worms. It is divided into fine pugs and simultaneously de-aired. The cutter is equipped at the exit with cutting knives and transferring device to load the slices of plastic material to the roller head.
The machines consist mainly of a two- stage horizontal extrusion section, i.e. an upper pre-pugging section and a lower main pugging section, both being connected by a vertical vacuum chamber. Further components are the feeding cylinder with the pre-pressing auger and the gear box with drive motor which is flanged to the feeding cylinder.
